Trip Cancellation Upgrade (TCU)
Guests are eligible for a refund, less the TCU fee, with cancellations (in full or in part), notified by 3 pm on the day prior to the reservation check-in. The TCU fee does not transfer to another guest or a future date.
Cancellations notified after 3 pm the day prior to check-in (in full or in part) will not receive a refund
TCU is automatically added to all reservations. Guests can opt out of TCU up to 24 hours after confirming a reservation. Guests that opt out of TCU are subject to our 14-day Standard Cancellation Policy. TCU is non-refundable 24 hours after booking.
Policy limitations: TCU does not allow for the cancellation of river activities, after guest arrival. Late arrivals or shortened stays are also not covered by TCU.
River Trip Inclement Weather Policy
River trips can go out rain or shine. Indian Head Canoes will only close down if the river is considered too high to safely ride in accordance with the National Park Service guidelines.
However, we understand that you may want to postpone your river trip in the event of rain. Rain day policies are declared on the morning of your river trip based on the actual weather at Indian Head Canoes. We do not declare in advance with a weather forecast.
If rain day policies are in effect, guests can postpone or cancel at least 1 or more hours prior to the start of the river trip to receive a raincheck for that day’s river activity. Rainchecks will be good for 1 year from the date of issue.
Trips canceled less than 1 hour prior to the scheduled river trip, or do not show up, regardless of weather, will forfeit the deposit and will not receive a raincheck.
